Mr. McGaw is a former patent examiner with the U.S. Patent &
Trademark Office and a 2003 graduate of the University of Colorado
Law School. He holds a master of science degree in microbiology from
Colorado State University. He is licensed to practice before the
U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and admitted to the bar in both
Colorado and Florida.
Before joining the USPTO, Mr. McGaw worked with Coors Brewing Co.,
where he handled international advertising and trademark issues. Previous experience
includes positions at National Jewish Health, one of the nation’s
leading respiratory hospitals, and Heska Corp., a supplier of
veterinary diagnostic products.
He has counseled clients in a wide variety of intellectual property
matters including trademarks and copyrights, and has prosecuted
